Une pensée pour Madiba

Chaque fois que je vois la face de Nelson Mandela en page d'accueil d'un site web d'informations ou que j'entends prononcer son nom à la télé ou à la radio, je me dis toujours: « Ça y'est...le plus grand homme du monde (rien de moins) est mort... ». Mais non! Il est hospitalisé pour traiter une infection, un cancer, ou une simple visite de routine. Aujourd'hui, c'est un retour de son infection respiratoire qui lui vaut une hospitalisation.

Je suis toujours impressionnée par la manière dont les infos à son sujet sont traitées en Afrique du Sud. En effet, c'est toujours la présidence de la République, voir Jacob Zuma en personne qui en parle, et qui tient le monde informé... L'estime, la considération et le respect dont jouit Madiba dans son pays sont impressionnants. Il faut dire qu'avec son parcours pour le moins atypique, c'est le moins qu'ils puissent faire.

Tel que l'a demandé le président Zuma, toutes nos prières l'accompagnent, et j'espère qu'il se rétablira rapidement... Seule sa présence est source d'accalmie dans ce pays où le racisme est encore très présent!
