LANARCA, Chypre - Les autorités chypriotes ont annoncé que 114 migrants vraisemblablement d'origine syrienne avaient été secourus alors que le bateau de pêche sur lequel ils se trouvaient était en "détresse".

L'embarcation naviguait à environ 75 kilomètres de la côte sud de l'île de Chypre.

Les migrants secourus, dont 35 enfants, sont en bonne santé. Ils ont été transportés dans la ville portuaire de Lanarca.

La police a indiqué que trois hommes, dont le capitaine du bateau, ont été arrêtés. Elle n'a pas précisé s'ils étaient des "passeurs".
