La motoneige fait une première victime cette saison dans la région

Il était âgé de 44 ans.

La région du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean enregistre son premier accident mortel de motoneige alors que commence la saison.

Un résident de l'arrondissement de Chicoutimi, âgé de 44 ans, a perdu la vie vers 17 h samedi, dans un accident qui s'est produit sur un sentier de la ZEC Brébeuf à Saint-Félix d'Otis.

L'homme circulait avec d'autres motoneigistes, lorsqu’il a perdu le contrôle de son véhicule dans une courbe. Il a alors été éjecté de son siège pour ensuite percuter un arbre.

Selon le sergent Claude Denis de la Sûreté du Québec, des motoneigistes lui ont prodigué des soins en attendant l’arrivée des techniciens-ambulanciers qui l’ont transporté à l’hôpital. Il a succombé à ses blessures en soirée.
