Elle achète un gratteux pour prouver son inutilité et gagne 1M$

Glenda Backwell est contente d’avoir tort.

Cette résidente de la Caroline du Nord a acheté un gratteux à 10 $ après que son mari lui a demandé d’acheter deux billets de la populaire loterie Powerball, explique FOX 8.

«J’ai acheté le gratteux parce que je voulais lui démontrer que ça ne sert à rien d’acheter quelconque billet de loterie. Je l’ai gratté devant lui pour prouver mon point», explique la dame de 57 ans.

À sa surprise, elle a gagné un million de dollars.

«Je lui dis souvent qu’il gaspille trop son argent. J’ai dû ravaler mes paroles, mais ça a valu la peine», dit-elle en entrevue au réseau WLOS.

Elle affirme d’ailleurs que pour la première fois de sa vie, l’argent n’est pas un problème.

«Notre maison sera payée et je pourrai aider ma fille à payer pour l’éducation supérieure de ses deux enfants», se réjouit-elle.

Elle dit toutefois qu’elle et son mari n’achèteront pas d’autres billets de loterie de sitôt.
