Le député de Verchères occupera désormais les fonctions de whip en chef de l'opposition officielle, Harold LeBel ayant décidé de quitter cette fonction. M. Bergeron conserve ses fonctions de porte-parole du PQ en matière de relations Québec-Canada et de Francophonie d'Amérique, et de responsable de la région de l'Outaouais.
