TORONTO _ Paul Bernardo a fait une demande de libération conditionnelle de jour à Toronto.

Bernardo a été condamné à vie sans possibilité de libération conditionnelle avant 25 ans pour le viol et le meurtre des adolescentes Leslie Mahaffy et Kristen French, commis dans les années 1990.

L'avocat des familles des victimes, Tim Danson, a été informé de sa demande par le Service correctionnel du Canada.

Il a admis que Bernardo avait le droit de demander une libération conditionnelle trois ans avant d'y être admissible.

Il a cependant dit aux familles des victimes qu'il n'y avait aucune chance que Bernardo puisse voir le monde extérieur de nouveau.
