The New York Times souligne l'entrée de Dany Laferrière à l'Académie

Haitian Canadian writer Dany Laferriere wearing his Academician suit, is applauded on May 28, 2015 in Paris, during his official entry ceremony as member of the prestigious Academie Francaise (French Academy), the body which has the task of acting as an official authority on the French language. Laferriere won the 2009 Prix Medicis, one of France's top literary awards for his book 'L'enigme du retour' (The riddle of return). Laferriere is the first Haitian-born and French Canadian to be admitted at the Academie francaise. He will sit on the chair Number 2, which was once the chair of French writer and political philosopher Montesquieu (1689-1755).
