Le chanteur britannique Joe Cocker, dont la carrière s'étend sur plus de quatre décennies, est mort à l'âge de 70 ans, a annoncé son agent lundi 22 décembre.

Originaire de Sheffield (dans le nord de l'Angleterre), Joe Cocker est décédé dimanche soir aux Etats-Unis. Il était "sans aucun doute le plus grand chanteur de rock/soul jamais produit par le Royaume-Uni", a commenté son agent Barrie Marshall dans un communiqué.
