États-Unis: un 2e patient est atteint du virus Ébola, un infirmier du Texas

DALLAS - Le virus Ébola a été détecté sur une deuxième personne au Texas.

Les autorités de l'hôpital où le patient décédé Thomas Eric Duncan a été soigné ont indiqué qu'un infirmier était atteint du virus.

D'autres tests seront effectués par le Centre pour le contrôle et la prévention des maladies d'Atlanta afin de confirmer le diagnostic.

Le patient a été placé en isolement vendredi soir, et les résultats préliminaires des examens ont été reçus samedi.

Il pourrait avoir été en contact avec Thomas Eric Duncan, la première personne à avoir été atteinte du virus Ébola aux États-Unis. Il est mort mercredi dernier à Dallas.

M. Duncan était revenu aux États-Unis le 20 septembre en provenance du Libéria, un des pays les plus touchés par le virus Ébola, qui a fait plus de 4000 morts en Afrique de l'Ouest.
