I'm starting to see research about the wonderful things dogs do for our hormones and other body chemicals that keep us from exacting terrible revenge on dry cleaners, mimes and cable installers.
Unlike antidepressants, dogs don't cause dry mouth, blurred vision, weight gain, sexual side effects, constipation or headache.
I don't make it a habit to bother the governor of New Jersey. But I just dashed off an e-mail to his office with a plea to save a dog I've never met.
