Obesity has become a "collective" issue that presumably concerns us all. Just last week, a coalition of health and education experts repeated their call for the Quebec government to introduce a sugar tax on soft drinks and so-called "energy drinks."

On the one hand, red tape often takes the form of information that businesses must submit in duplicate or triplicate. On the other hand, while reducing excessive regulation is good, keeping it from proliferating in the first place is even better. With this in mind, a government organization should be set up.
