MONTRÉAL - Le nom du vétéran cycliste américain Levi Leipheimer a été ajouté à la liste des engagés qui participeront aux Grands Prix de Québec et de Montréal, les 7 et 9 septembre prochain.

L'équipe Omega-Pharma Quick Step a en effet décidé de remplacer Peter Velits par Leipheimer.

Pour Leipheimer, il s'agira d'une troisième participation aux classiques de Québec et de Montréal. Il s'était classé cinquième à Montréal l'an dernier.

Leipheimer figure parmi les meneurs du classement du USA Pro Challenge disputé actuellement au Colorado.
